He serves as an expert reviewer and judge for the Ministry of Science and Technology, SASAC, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Award Evaluation Committee, the Ministry of Finance, the China Banking Association, the Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Office of the State Council, Liaoning Province and Shenyang City. He is a member of the First Council of the Liaoning Society for Cell Biology; an intellectual property case consultant for the Shenyang Intermediate People’s Court; a people’s assessor for the Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone Court. He holds the positions of International Vice President of the European Rubber Union, member of the Special Committee for New Chemical Materials of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, and member of the Chemical Society of Japan.

He is currently engaged in teaching and research in polymer science and composite materials. He has led and completed 83 research projects, including 1 National Key Natural Science Foundation project, 1 National High‑tech R&D Program (863 Program) project, 7 international cooperation projects, 1 provincial key research project, 2 provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, 2 provincial industry‑university‑research cooperation projects, and 17 projects funded by the Education Department of Liaoning Province. He has published more than 200 academic papers and been granted 38 Chinese invention patents. Nineteen of his research achievements have won provincial, ministerial and municipal Science and Technology Progress Awards or Technological Invention Awards. His honors include “Top Ten Outstanding Young Intellectuals of Shenyang”, “Top 100 Technical Experts of Shenyang”, and “Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker of Shenyang”. He has been invited to give lectures in Japan, Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, South Korea, the United States and Arab countries on 21 occasions. He has invited more than 60 international scholars to China for academic exchanges and supervised 7 long‑term visiting scholars from Japan and Bulgaria. He has served and continues to serve as director, deputy chief technology officer, or technical advisor for more than 20 enterprises, including Tieling Plastic Profile Factory, Shenyang Polyurethane, Shenyang CSIC Military Coatings Co., Ltd., Shenyang Yate Sports Equipment, Shenyang No.4 Rubber Factory, Cao Yueliang Adhesives, Dandong Decheng Rubber & Plastic, and Hebei Jingxin Group. He has assisted in the establishment of more than 30 polymer‑related enterprises.
