The 2020 Hose and Belt Information and Technology Forum was held in Qingdao.

The Rubber Hose and Tape Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association held the new session of the Member Representative Assembly and the 2020 Rubber Hose and Tape Information and Technology Forum at the Qingdao Huanghai Hotel from December 1st to 3rd, 2020. The theme of this forum was "Innovation, Change, and Co-development". 
Deng Yali, President of the China Rubber Industry Association, attended the meeting, which was also attended by over 300 representatives from member enterprises of the rubber hose and tape industry, as well as some enterprise leaders and technical personnel from upstream and downstream industries. The meeting was chaired by Bu Xiangbin, General Manager of Shandong ContiTech Engineering Rubber Co., Ltd., and Pei Yufeng, Director of the Information and Exhibition Department of the China Rubber Industry Association. 
Deng Yali, President of the China Rubber Industry Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the association at the meeting. She pointed out that in the past year, the rubber hose and tape industry had effectively responded to the complex and volatile domestic and international situations, maintaining a good and stable overall operational trend. However, in the post-pandemic era, the industry's economic operation also faced a series of challenges. The problem of imbalanced and inadequate industry development remained prominent, and there were still many shortcomings and weaknesses in achieving high-quality development. She hoped that the industry would bravely face new challenges, adapt to new situations and requirements, take the "14th Five-Year Plan" as a guide, aim at the goal of becoming a strong rubber industry country, and make more efforts in technological innovation and transformational development to make enterprises bigger, stronger, and more refined, thus achieving high-quality and sustainable development of the industry. At the same time, President Deng read out the "Reply on the Appointment of the Chairman of the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch". The China Rubber Industry Association agreed to Wuxi Baotong Technology Co., Ltd. as the chairman unit of the new council of the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association, and agreed to appoint Bao Zhifang, Chairman of Wuxi Baotong Technology Co., Ltd., as the chairman of the new council of the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association. According to the meeting arrangement, a grand awarding ceremony was held for the new council unit of the branch at the dinner that evening.

On behalf of the 9th Council of the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch, Shen Gengliang, Chairman of the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch and Chairman of Zhejiang Double Arrow Rubber Co., Ltd., presented the "Work Report of the 9th Council of the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association" to the conference. He analyzed the overall situation of the rubber hose and tape industry over the past four years and provided a detailed summary of the main work carried out by the branch during the 9th Council. Over the past four years, the rubber hose and tape industry has successively withstood the tests of major events such as the implementation of the new environmental protection law, supply-side structural reforms, the Sino-US trade war, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Against the backdrop of economic slowdown both domestically and internationally, the vast number of enterprises in the rubber hose and tape industry have worked together to achieve healthy and stable development. During the 9th Council, the total industrial output value increased by 12.2%, product sales revenue increased by 19.2%, total profit increased by 44.3%, and product value increased by 35.4%. In recent years, the industry has made breakthroughs in transformation and upgrading, intelligent manufacturing, and other aspects. By optimizing product structure and pursuing independent innovation, the brand effect has significantly increased, and industrial concentration has greatly improved, laying a solid foundation for China's rubber hose and tape industry to grow from large to strong. 
During the conference, the Rubber Hose and Tape Branch officially released the "Guiding Outline for the '14th Five-Year Plan' Development Plan of the Rubber Hose and Tape Industry". Based on a careful summary of the "13th Five-Year Plan", this plan introduces new ideas and scientifically determines the tasks and areas for breakthroughs in the rubber hose and tape industry, in accordance with the characteristics of the new era proposed at the 19th CPC National Congress and the existing resources and development foundation of the industry. It grasps the overall requirements of adhering to high-quality development, open development, and innovative development, and reflecting new breakthroughs and new achievements in the national "14th Five-Year Plan", making the "Guiding Outline for the '14th Five-Year Plan' Development Plan of the Rubber Hose and Tape Industry" a grand blueprint for high-quality development in various professional fields across the industry.
