Members of the Chinese Chemical Society should carry forward the spirit of patriotism, dedication, integrity, and friendliness. They should not only possess qualified professional capabilities but also have noble professional ethics and engineering qualities. While enjoying the honor of being members, they should assume social responsibilities, safeguard their professional reputation, continuously improve themselves, and use their professional knowledge and skills to benefit the people and society. The Chinese Chemical Society has specifically formulated this code to regulate the behaviors of all members in their work related to engineering, technology, scientific research, education, management, and social services. At the same time, it is advocated that practitioners in the broader chemical industry abide by this code.
  1. When fulfilling professional duties, prioritize the safety and health of people and the protection of the ecological environment. Uphold a spirit of high responsibility towards the present and future human health, ecological environment, and society, and actively promote green chemistry and the sustainable development of the ecological environment and society.
  2. If it is found that the work required by any organization or individual such as the employer or client may have an adverse impact on the safety, health of the public or any group of people, or on the ecological environment, reasonable improvement suggestions should be put forward to the above - mentioned organization or individual. If major safety or ecological environment hazards are discovered, they should be reported in a timely manner to the emergency management department or other relevant departments. Refuse to follow illegal instructions and forced risky operations.
  3. Only engage in professional work within the scope of one's legally obtained professional qualifications or capabilities. Maintain professional rigor and be highly responsible for one's professional actions. Scrutinize one's own professional work strictly, objectively evaluate the professional work of others, and be guided solely by professional capabilities and standards, without being influenced by other factors.
  4.
