Domestic Air-Cushioned Shield Dam Manufacturers Share Factors Affecting Rubber Sheets and Their Impacts

发布时间:2021-11-02 点击量:4342
Today we are going to discuss the factors affecting rubber panels of domestic air shield dams. Feel free to follow along if you are interested.
Managers of rubber dam projects need to ensure reliable operation in all aspects. They should be familiar with the overall structure, design concepts, construction conditions and existing problems of the project, as well as the operational characteristics of rubber dams. They are required to master operation control, inspection, monitoring, maintenance and repair work, and be capable of conducting partial on-site repairs on dam bags with conventional repair materials and tools.
Daily inspection and maintenance of civil engineering structures shall be performed regularly. Any defects or potential risks must be addressed promptly. Timely repairs for minor damages are essential to prevent further deterioration and avoid operating the facility with faults.

For domestic air shield dams, any faults or damage to electromechanical components including motors, water pumps, air compressors, flanges and gate valves must be troubleshooted, repaired or replaced in a timely manner. Routine maintenance should also be carried out regularly.
The first and fourth stages of the Baihe Rubber Dam are located in suburban areas with long and remote power supply lines. Frequent inspections are required to guarantee stable power supply.
If the forced vibration frequency caused by external forces is close to the natural vibration frequency of the submerged dam body, the vibration will intensify and even lead to resonance. Resonance can cause severe damage to dam bags. Once the internal stress generated during resonance exceeds the allowable stress of the rubber material, the dam bag will be destroyed.
Persistent vibration during operation will result in abrasion, delamination and tearing of dam bags, and in severe cases, complete failure of the dam structure. This will undermine the operational reliability and economic benefits of domestic air shield dam projects.
