Coating Plastic Materials for Wire Rope

At present, hot - dip galvanized steel wire ropes are widely used. However, during use, the galvanized layer is prone to damage, peeling, and breakage, causing the steel wire rope to corrode and rust. In addition, due to the price increase of zinc raw materials, recently, people tend to use plastic - coating or extrusion methods that can more effectively extend the service life, and are aesthetically pleasing and inexpensive to improve the surface of the steel wire rope, that is, plastic - sheathed steel wire ropes.

Our company has independently developed several thermoplastic elastomer materials for plastic - coating/extrusion of steel wire ropes, which can be used to manufacture resin outer sheaths for steel ropes/cable - stayed bridge cables.

The product performance meets and exceeds the standard CJ 3058 - 1996 "Plastic - Sheathed Semi - Parallel Steel Wire Cables".
