Movable rubber reservoirs

1 Introduction and Applications

Project

Detailed Description

Introduction

During the mining process, temporary water storage facilities (non-permanent water conservancy projects) are built to meet production, safety or ecological needs. They are used for short-term storage and regulation of water resources, and need to be demolished and the site restored after the project is completed.

Features

1. Temporality: Service life ≤ mining project duration (usually 1-10 years);

2. Functionality: Adapt to the special needs of mining scenarios;

3. Recoverability: A decommissioning, demolition and ecological restoration plan must be formulated.

Applications

1. Storage of process water for open-pit / underground mining (e.g., water for drilling, blasting, mineral processing, and dust control).

2. Flood control and drainage during rainy seasons (intercepting surface runoff to prevent water accumulation in mining areas).

3. Temporary storage of mine wastewater / tail water (for reuse after treatment or discharge up to standard).

4. Water resource reserve in arid regions (to ensure continuous production).

5. Ecological water replenishment (temporarily supporting vegetation irrigation around mining areas).

3 Company Project Introduction

Our project has developed a movable rubber reservoir to address the bottlenecks of the most commonly used temporary water storage facilities in mining (concrete dams and geomembrane anti-seepage structures), solving the problems of excessive leakage and ecological restoration.Elastic rubber materials are adopted to prevent damage to temporary reservoirs caused by geological deformation and leakage due to material failure. Meanwhile, it reduces the high cost of ecological environmental protection and restoration, and meets current domestic and international environmental and technical standards.

4 Project Advantages

(1) Adopts inert weather-resistant EPDM as the main material, reinforced with high-strength fiber framework, puncture and scratch resistant, with a service life of more than 30 years;(2) Manufactured on-site, suitable for large-capacity reservoirs, and can be made into any shape according to on-site terrain conditions;(3) Strong anti-scour capability, crack-free and zero leakage;(4) Intelligent PLC and SCADA system for real-time monitoring and alarm of water level, dam structure and water quality;(5) Lower cost than concrete dams, steel structures and geomembrane anti-seepage reservoirs;(6) Simple decommissioning with low cost: only the rubber dam body needs to be dismantled, no soil restoration required, and the site can be naturally greened;(7) No environmental issues.
