Seawater Freshwater Usable water | Seawater accounts for 70% of the Earth’s surface.The volume of seawater is 1.4 billion cubic kilometers, freshwater is 350 million cubic kilometers, and usable water is 14 million cubic kilometers (only 0.01% of the total water volume). The annual runoff of the top six rivers in China is 1.5 billion cubic meters, meaning a huge amount of usable water flows into the sea every year.Hydropower is one of the best ways to fully utilize freshwater. It is clean, renewable, pollution-free, and has low operating costs. It is convenient for power peak regulation and helps improve resource utilization efficiency and the comprehensive benefits of the economy and society. | |

Chongqing Tongnan Sanshi Hydropower Station
Sanshi Hydropower Station is a navigation-enabled hydropower station built on the Fujiang River, constructed with an artificial diversion canal with a total length of 15 km.
The station has a water head of 11 m, equipped with 4 axial-flow generators of 3,200 kW each. It is a dam-type hydropower station.
In 2012, our company participated in the plant expansion and renovation. A Pneumatic Shield Rubber Dam (PSRD) system was installed on the overflow weir, which raised the water head by 0.5 m and increased annual power generation by more than 3 million kWh.
The investment was recovered and profit was achieved in the same year.
Our company now has mature capabilities in the design and construction of Small Hydropower (SHP).
An important contribution is that the turbines we designed are fish-friendly.
